We are based in Mainburg and operate internationally. In addition to Germany, WOLF is represented in more than 50 countries. We support planners, installers and end customers with the integrated planning and coordination of heating and ventilation solutions. In short, we develop solutions for comfortable indoor environments, ranging from single-family and multi-family homes to office buildings and industrial applications.

From Germany to the world
The history of WOLF starts in the world’s largest hop growing region: Hallertau in Bavaria, Germany. This is where Anton Wolf was born in 1920. The son of a sheet metal worker from Geisenfeld, he founded WOLF in Mainburg in 1963. In the beginning, parts for hop processing machines and heat generators were produced here. Ventilation and air handling units were introduced during the early seventies, and the company entered the heating technology sector a decade later. Today, WOLF is a subsidiary of Ariston Holding. Our product range covers the entire spectrum of modern heating and ventilation technology. WOLF Power Systems is our representative in the combined heat and power sector.
However, whilst we do move with the times, we also remain true to certain values. The inventions of our founder were based on his observations of hop farmers at work. His goal was to simplify their work and make it more convenient and more efficient. Even today, we are guided by this principle: to develop products that are easy to use and designed for reliable and efficient operation. Nevertheless, the aesthetics are not overlooked either – quite the opposite: we value the visual appeal of a heatpump as well as its functionality.
From today to the future
Heating, water and air have been essential to human life since the very beginning. Yet much has changed since the campfires of the Stone Age. Technological progress and changing lifestyles have continuously shaped the way these fundamental needs are expressed, making them increasingly diverse and complex.
Since our founding, we have continuously expanded our portfolio, responding to new requirements while further developing existing technologies. Whether you use a WOLF heat pump or a WOLF residential ventilation system, each product combines today’s expertise with a forward-looking perspective.
The challenges of the energy transition and the ongoing development of renewable energy sources will continue to influence the evolution of our solutions. Political and regulatory developments may also change the requirements placed on heating systems. That is why we continuously develop and refine our portfolio. Digitalisation is creating new opportunities, which we take into account in the further development of our products and services. Digital features enable selected solutions to be integrated into smart home environments. At the same time, we are looking even further ahead: alongside digitalisation, demographic change and mobility are among the major trends that will shape our future direction.
Looking ahead has always been part of what we do. The way energy is generated, managed and used continues to present new challenges. Finding solutions to these challenges is a task we embrace every day, together with our customers and partners.
