CO2 calculator

Our Air Handling Product Calculator is way ahead of its time. Next to the expected technical data it calculates the CO2 footprint of our air handling units from production to the recycling process over a service life of 25 years. TÜV Süd has already certified the WOLF Calculator with this function (in accordance with the certification guidelines of the AHU Association).
Our customer data sheets clearly outline energy savings, cost reductions, and environmental impact—helping you make well-founded, sustainable choices.

Green Steel

With our Green Steel option, we support you in achieving your own climate goals – with reliable proof of CO₂e reduction. WOLF integrates CO₂-reduced steel into a large part of its air handling unit product range. This XCarb® recycled and renewably produced steel is used for all galvanized steel components of an air handling unit. It has a CO₂e footprint of just 877 kg per ton – compared to 2,570 kg for conventionally produced steel.

Register Bypass

Reducing emissions begins with understanding energy use. Sustainable air handling with intelligent design minimizes energy loss in air handling units. Through innovations like the Register Bypass, we significantly cut energy consumption and CO₂ output during the operational life of air handling systems. The Register Bypass efficiently manages airflow by diverting air around the heating or cooling coil when conditioning is not needed. This ensures your system runs only when truly required and leads to a extended system lifetime.

Retrofit

Sustainable upgrades that make a difference

The path to sustainability doesn’t always require a brand-new system. Many existing HVAC installations still have untapped potential for performance and efficiency gains. That’s where our retrofit solutions come in, calculated with a life cycle cost analysis.

By upgrading specific components — such as fans, control systems, heat exchangers, or bypass mechanisms — we bring older systems up to modern energy standards without major structural changes or high investment costs.
